Dear users of ff.de,
as you may have noticed, there are Helge's personal blog at present a lively discussion (to say the least ^ ^) on the way how to perform an archive or not. I never thought what an avalanche I unleash my three paragraphs, so it looks like I have so stirred up a hornet's nest, and your needs, what to say publicly is huge. I am a fair and public debate as important as you, for just basic questions are not just for me and Helge something, but all who post their stories and ff.de on which the site over time is close to my heart.
you have in the comments emphasized quite often that ff.de Helge and Marc is: You have built the site to the stress of programming, and so made the rules, advertisers on land taken in order to finance the page and they are also the ones who still bear the financial and legal risk when things get rough. They are considering, how can you manage a big site, they have established operators, and made the page to what we all know and love. This is a tremendous job and I am grateful to the two just as much as you, which is beyond question.
We are all here because we are fans of certain books, series, bands, films, etc., and because we can not help it, than to write about it. Fandom means to me that people come together, the same or similar interests and found the open spaces in our society, their own community. This community has a chance to be different than the society from which it is a part, as long as it does not cover too much into conflict.
The structures that I found on ff.de are nothing more than a small company. There are the founders, "employees" (operators) and customers and users within and between these groups are the same (communication) problems, as I know her from my job. That is very unfortunate. For in the fandom I'm not Helges employees and he is not my boss, we're both fans. Just as you do. Of course, there must be a place where we as fans come together and swap stories and, of course, must be able to create the first one. It's also perfectly clear that we are all grateful when someone does for us.

It does not mean that all watch the other implication, or even have to nod in agreement, if the setting, the behavior or the personal blog of an admin other users, other fans, offended or hurt.

Although it sounds like a crappy GZSZ-line (sorry, GZSZ fans ^ ^), fandom is what we all make out of it and German fandom is colorful. Many of you probably know animexx fancreations.de or some of the smaller archives such as or the much-maligned ff- paradise. Some of you might have a Livejournal or Dreamwidth account, and also in the major international archives such as the own archive or fanfiction.net there are many German FF. can
fandom is a community that speak in each and go wherever he wants. I'm going. Hope to see you somewhere else, maybe not. I am very grateful Noctifer for many reasons, not least because she was willing to lend me her blog for this letter. Unfortunately, I was allowed but not at her post, because Marc and Helge did not mean to.
